When I first heard this song I imagined it being played at a roadside bar, deep in one of the southern states of America, frequented by heavy drinking, cowboy-hatted men.
After a couple of plays though I thought that this track has wider appeal and I will put myself on the line here and say that I think that Bruce Springsteen will probably wish that he had written this song. Maria's voice is delivered in suitably raspy tones and Paul has picked up both acoustic and electric guitars in order to accompany her and give the song that country rock flavour. If you like country rock you should give this song a listen.
